RST have been established for more than 38 years and we continue to develop innovative electronic point of sale solutions for our customers in the hospitality and retail business sectors throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom.

We currently have a position available for a capable and enthusiastic professional to join our software development team at our head office in Campsie working on the development and deployment of EPoS systems applications products.

As a Systems Developer at RST EPoS you will work as part of an Agile development team. The role will encompass all aspects of the software development lifecycle and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with customers so as to understand their requirements. The role includes the design, implementation and unit testing of software with sophisticated front-end functionality, together with building, releasing, supporting and maintaining the various deployments.

You will be developing on a number of platforms and will gain exposure to and knowledge of leading technology in the world of software development. This position represents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking developer who is interested in full stack development and improving their skillset.

    Essential Criteria

  • Degree (grade 2:1 or higher) in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Framework, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Good understanding of software architectural patterns and development best practice
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and basic web page design principles
  • Previous experience of database design and development (SQL Server and MySQL)
  • Full development lifecycle experience including Requirements, Design, Development and Testing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others and quickly build a good working rapport
  • Evidence of ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Good organisation and time management skills including evidence of the ability to produce work accurately in line with project milestones

  • Experience using RDB Optimisation techniques
  • Experience using and developing with Entity Framework
  • Experience developing using MVC pattern
  • Experience using Bootstrap Framework
